Sam's Club offers a range of products at wholesale prices. These include groceries, mattresses, tires, pharmacy products, optical items, bakery goods, floral items, and more. The membership program consists of two tiers, with different prices for each. The Club Membership costs $50 per year and the Plus Membership costs $110 per year. Starting from October 17, 2022, these membership fees increased from $45 to $50 for Club members and from $100 to $110 for Plus members. The fee for add-on memberships also increased from $40 to $45. Existing members that renewed between October 17, 2022, to October 16, 2023, automatically earned $5 or $10 Sam’s Cash to offset the price increase, depending on their membership level. Members that renewed at the Club membership level received $5, and members that renewed at the Plus level received $10. Primary members received $5 for each add-on member that was renewed. Sam’s Cash was automatically applied to the member’s Sam’s Cash account within 24 hours. There were no additional steps needed to earn the Sam’s Cash. The price adjustment impacted new members upon their annual renewal date. If their renewal date was on or after October 17, 2022, that’s when they saw the adjustment go into effect. Renewals before October 17, 2022, were at the current fee ($45 for Club membership/$100 for Plus membership).

At SamsClub.com, various payment methods are accepted. All major credit cards drawn from U.S. based accounts are accepted, excluding territories and/or municipalities. However, international credit cards are not accepted either in club or online.

To add a new payment method, one can go to the online account information screen, select Payment Methods or Gift Cards under the Checkout preferences heading, and click the + Add link. A text box will appear to complete the required fields. If one wishes to make this the primary purchasing card for the SamsClub.com account, they can check "Make this your preferred card" and click [Save] or [Done] depending on the device and/or platform.

To change/update a payment method already on file, one can go to the Account information page, scroll down to the Checkout preferences heading, click the Payment methods page, and select the edit link in line with the card that needs to be altered. After making the required changes (name/card number/expiration/cvv), click [Save].
